There were many young people among the conference participants: students and graduate students of Russian universities mainly.

Brent Tully and Olga Sil'chenko gave public lectures "Laniakea: Humanity's home among 100,000 galaxies" and "Mysteries of Galaxies" for the residents of the village and employees of the observatory.

In order to get acquainted with the history, science, and culture of Karachay-Cherkessia, the excursions were organized for the participants to the BTA and RATAN-600 telescopes, to the museum of Alanian history and culture, to the Nizhny Arkhyz history and architecture complex, and to Dombay.
